Miss University of Florida Scholarship Pageant

Executive Director: Laura Smith

Laura is the 21 year-old daughter of Randall Don and Elizabeth Smith and sister of Melissa and Adam Smith of Pensacola, Florida. She is a junior majoring in Public Relations and her minors are Gerontology and Family, Youth and Community Sciences. Laura is currently the president of her sorority Alpha Delta Pi and has served as the Director of Social Enrichment and as a pride leader.

She was appointed Homecoming and Gator Growl Assistant Director of Tickets and University Services and is currently a Public Relations Captain for Dance Marathon. Laura has also participated in the Emerging Leaders Conference as the Recruitment Director and Small Group Leader. In Student Government, Laura was appointed as Assistant Director of the Freshman Leadership Council and served on the council as a freshman.

Her past involvement with the Miss University of Florida Scholarship Pageant includes working back stage her freshman year and serving as Director of Solicitations last year. After graduation Laura hopes to attend the University of Florida's Law School, focus on Elder Law and ultimately work in the Administration on Aging.
