Ashley Lynn Glass
Ashley is the daughter of Dave and
Lynn Glass of Orange Park, FL. She graduated from UF in May 2004 with
dual degrees in Telecommunication-News and Political Science. She now
works as a reporter at WCJB – TV20 News in Gainesville.
At UF, Ashley spent most of her time dancing
or reporting. She worked for WUFT-TV News 5 as both a news and weather
anchor, and she danced for the UF "Dazzler" dance team,
performing at men's basketball games and community events.
As Miss University of Florida, Ashley went on to the Miss Florida
Pageant in June 2004 and was a Top 10 Finalist and the winner of several
awards: the Newcomer of the Year Award, a Preliminary Evening Gown
Award, and the Busch Gardens Essay Award. |

Ashley is an activist for breast cancer awareness.
As a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha, she was very involved in the Susan
G. Komen Line Dance philanthropy event for several years. Ashley has
participated in Race for the Cure events and continues speaking to
local women's groups about the importance of early detection. Her
goal is to reach as many women as possible with the message that awareness
now will save lives in the future.
In her spare time Ashley enjoys swimming, going to the beach, and
spending time with friends and family. |
