What It Means To Be Our Queen

The University of Florida is well-known for not only its outstanding sports teams, but for its excellent academics and scientific research programs. Our pageant history is just as bright, as it is common to find one of our queens at the top of state competition every year. To represent such a well-rounded school with the titles of Miss UF and Miss Florida Gator has been a long-standing honor and privilege.

Why We Look For the Best

The Miss UF/Florida Gator titleholders advance to the Miss Florida Pageant in June to compete against other titleholders from cities throughout the state. Miss Florida will then advance to the Miss America Pageant in September. To view the successes of our former titleholders, click here.

Well-Rounded Competition

Each contestant will receive a score from 1-10 from each judge in each area of competition. The high and low scores will be dropped. The two contestants with the highest total points at the end of the night will be crowned.

All Miss America Organization competitions include private interview (40%), talent (30%), evening wear (10%), and swimwear (10%) segments. The overall composite score at the end of the competition counts for 10%.
