Miss UF

The annual Miss UF scholarship pageant will be held on February 27, 2012 at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Winners will advance to the Miss Florida pageant in July with a chance to compete for the Miss America crown the following January. As an official Miss America Organization affiliate, the contest will be composed of a private interview (25%), on-stage question (5%), talent competition (35%), an evening wear portion (20%), and a lifestyle & fitness swimsuit portion (15%).

The Miss America Organization is the largest scholarship provider for young women in the world. For 2012, Miss UF will endeavor to draw from a more diverse contestant pool and develop stronger ties with the student body. The pageant will be partnering with Dance Marathon @ UF and the Children's Miracle Network. Contestants frequently compete at the state and national level, stress the leadership development of adolescent women and build more positive environments for women to grow professionally. All women at the University of Florida are encouraged to apply.
