Gator Day will take place on the February 16th, 2012. A select group of individuals from the University will undergo a trip to Tallahassee to interact with Florida senators, representatives, lobbyists, as well as many other significant individuals within the state government. The purpose is to educate, inform, and promote awareness of issues facing the state of Florida and the University of Florida.
Gator Day's events include observation of legislative sessions in both the Florida Senate and Florida House chambers, guest speakers addressing and debating their respective positions and experiences, and an evening banquet attended by Florida Blue Key members, UF trustees, state officials and distinguished contributors to the university. Gator Day is open to all UF students. Participant applications will be available in Spring 2012.
